![]() I've treated people like shit my whole life. And . . . I don't know. Having one transformative moment doesn't mean that you're immediately going to be a different person overnight and being better is something you have to work at, I guess. art credit code credit |

[ He is not sure that girlfriend/boyfriend even fits them anymore, but that is a topic for more beer and another time. ]
Nonetheless, she knows I offered this to you, and has had no problem with it.
[ He considers that. ]
Well, that you are my submissive in the eyes of the law, and that I am legally responsible for you, that you can purchase things using my money, that I will support you having a job of your own and back that, whatever it will be, that you have my permission to move between Up and Down freely, and to act in my name if you need to.
[ He pauses, and scritches his chin. ]
Does it need anything else?
no subject
She'd give whoever she loved independence, but she'd still want to be with them whenever she could.
Except when things were awkward and then it'd be more than a ten foot pole. Case in point: she's having this conversation with Jo rather than with Jester. ]
And who picks out my collar? [ She adds this with a smirk and a dry tone. ]
no subject
You do. Gods and stars. We need to find something that fits you and you actually like.
[ And he grins wider. ]
And that looks good. I want you to look fine when I am telling girls about you.
[ He nods. He will wait to mention the girl who wants to meet her, a little later. ]
no subject
Maybe something simple. A little leather. Loose. I could pull that off, ya think?
no subject
It would look badass on you.
no subject
Alright, time to make shit happen. ]
I guess then... we could make it work.
no subject
Good. I like the idea of knowing my friends are safe, at least from that. And with me getting a house, you will have a place to live where the SINguards won't come.
[ Not without reason anyway.
He considers her, then nods. ]
Want to go take care of it now, or do you want to think about it more?
no subject
[ Honestly, now that she's made the decision in her head, there's no more waffling. There's only hurtling forward on a whim and a prayer.
Well, not quite. There was thought put into this. Just not a whole lot. It's more gut instinct that has her running away from her friends (all two who could contract with her) and into the "arms" of a new friend. ]
Let's do this thing. No time like the present.
no subject
[ He holds out a hand to her. ] By foot or by air?
[ His grin is a challenge. Oh yes, this will be fine they totally won't encourage the worst impulses in one another. Not at all. ]
no subject
Come on. I haven't got all day.
no subject
[ He pulls her close, not suffocatingly so, but some, and his other hand lands on her hip gently, and then nods, and concentrates, and a moment later, they are in the air, shooting up into the sky over the city.
The city falls away below them with startling suddenness, as they rise toward the rock ceiling, and then he changes course and they fly toward the tunnel that leads to the UP. ]
Won't take but a moment.
[ He grins at Beau. ]
This is how I get everywhere, most days.
no subject
It's just cool at first, but then she looks down and realizes how high they've gone and how quickly and it's a little overwhelming. ]
Shit shit shit shiiiit. [ Giddy excitement and low key terror battle within her as she holds on to Jo. ]
no subject
Sorry, this can take some getting used to. I will not drop you. I promise. Friends don't drop friends.
[ As they arrow into the tunnel, the lights along the way guide them as they head upward and he slows his speed even more to avoid the train and the busses that move along the way. ]
no subject
[ But Beau's looking up now rather than down, not wanting to take the chance of sending herself into a spiral of terror. Besides, it's much nicer looking up at the Up than it is looking down at the Down. The air gets clearer, the temperature changes to something more comfortable, and now it's pleasant. ]
Okay, not so bad. Or maybe that's just the Up.
no subject
[ He grins as they come up into the, er, Up, and he sends them soaring slowly toward the market square where the contract office is.
The towers of the city gleam brightly, and Jo shakes his head. ]
This place is the definition of looks pretty but is dangerous.
[ And a few minutes later, they are landing in front of the contract office, Jo holding onto her until he knows she is standing firmly on her own two feet, then letting go. ]
no subject
She nods towards the office. ]
Lead the way. I've never done this before. Do I need to, like, walk behind you or something? You do all the talking, great dominant?
no subject
[ He chuckles. They can fight someone later. ]
But yes, I will ask for the contract. We'll get a contract specialist who will take us into a contract room. In the meeting, you can talk freely. One of the few places where Dominants and submissives are seen as equals here. The specialist will ask what we want in it, and they will draw it up, then show us, and if we like it, we sign. If not, we ask for changes, and go on until we are happy.
[ He nods to her. ]
Ready?
no subject
Still, Beau said she would do this and she's going to do this. So she takes a deep breath to steel herself before facing some pencil pushers and nods. ]
As I'll ever be. Let's just do this.
no subject
And when the contract is theirs, he takes a breath and signs it, then hands the pen to her, nodding. ]
no subject
Beau's lips thin as she looks at the paper in front of her, but she nods and takes the pen from Jo and signs her name.
The contract person says "congratulations" like this is a happy thing, and Beau supposes on some level it is. But, as she stands up, she looks to Jo. ]
Drink?
no subject
[ He walks out with her as fast as they can go and feels his shoulders lift a little as they hit the sunlight outside. ]
I hate that place, and this whole.... thing. [ His hands wave at... everything as he glances around, then points one way. ]
There is a bar that way where the drinks are good and the people mind their own business. [ Then he points the other way. ]
Or we can go back to the place and you can settle into my place, if you want. The second room there is yours now, for the taking.
no subject
She's made a deal to be Jo's Submissive. They're going to live together.
Her life is basically in his hands. ]
Yeah, let's... I haven't got shit at my place. Let's just go to yours -- ours? Fuck -- and get drunk and eat steak.
no subject
Alright? And it's yours, too. One provision in that contract says that if something happens to me, you get the house.
[ He made sure of that. ]
And beer and steak sound good. Come on.
[ And he leads the way, walking with her at a fast pace. He is nervous. She is the first sub he has outside of Tinya, and it is both a scary and worrying thing. ]
